The Sweetpea Foundation plans to care and foster abandoned, neglected, abused, ill and injured domestic rabbits in a loving, emotionally stable, clean environment; and provide the necessary medical and veterinary care and quality nutrition before a loving, permanent adopting home can be found. We make all efforts that the animals be rescued from local county or city shelters so that they won't be destroyed.

The Sweetpea Foundation will make all attempts to find acceptable, permanent homes for domestic rabbits, and educate adopting and fostering families as to the care of domestic rabbits. This will be done through word of mouth, classified ads, attending pet fairs sponsored by large pet stores like Petco and PetSmart, and announcing the available rabbits on Websites such as Petfinder.com. We will also attempt to provide humane education information on spaying and neutering and other necessary medical services.
