The Sweetpea Foundation works to care for and foster abandoned, neglected, abused, ill and injured domestic rabbits in a loving, stable, clean environment; and provide the necessary medical and veterinary care and quality nutrition before a loving, permanent adopting home can be found. We make all efforts that the animals be rescued from local county or city shelters so that they won't be destroyed.

We will make all efforts to find acceptable, permanent homes for domestic rabbits and educate adopting and fostering families as to the care of the rabbits. This will be done via our website, through word of mouth and holding adoption events at large pet stores like PETCO and PetSmart as well as announcing the available rabbits on websites such as Petfinder.com and BunSpace.com. We will also provide information on proper diet, housing, the importance of spaying and neutering and other necessary medical care.
